GUIDE Open Event in Ljubljana: Empowering Career Guidance Through Co-Creation

On December 20, 2024, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia hosted an Open Event in Ljubljana as part of the GUIDE project. Held at the organization’s headquarters on Dimičeva Street, the event brought together 11 professionals—mentors, internship advisors, and corporate training consultants—from various sectoral chambers to explore innovative approaches in career counselling.

The central focus of the event was the presentation of the Co-Creation Counselling Model, a digital tool designed to support inclusive and gender-sensitive career guidance. Participants were introduced to the model, its accompanying manual, and co-creation dialogue cards, all of which were accessible via mobile devices. The interactive format allowed attendees to engage directly with the tools and reflect on their practical application in mentoring and advisory roles.

The agenda also included presentations of the GUIDE project, followed by an interactive session and open discussion. The event was led by Tjaša Jerman Kuželički, project manager at the Chamber.

The event aimed to:

  • Disseminate the Co-Creation Model to key stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness of gender stereotypes in career decision-making.
  • Promote the GUIDE project’s tools and results to educators, advisors, and training institutions.
  • Encourage the integration of co-creation practices into everyday counselling.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Most reported high satisfaction with both the event’s organization and the presentation of the digital tool. The Co-Creation Model was recognized as a valuable resource for supporting students and new employees in shaping their career paths, while also introducing a fresh perspective on gender equality in employment.

This Open Event successfully contributed to the GUIDE project’s mission of fostering inclusive, reflective, and collaborative career guidance practices.
