What is happening in the GUIDE project this summer?

Over the past months, partners in the GUIDE project have been actively engaged in the development and evaluation of the Gender-Sensitive Career Guidance (GSCG) Toolkit, a key output of Work Package 5.

The initial content was collaboratively prepared by all project partners in early 2025. Following this, p.consulting took the lead in designing the final format of the toolkit, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and visual coherence. The result is a practical resource aimed at supporting career guidance professionals in addressing gender bias and promoting inclusive practices.

To validate the toolkit, each partner identified ten national experts in career guidance and education to review the content and complete an evaluation questionnaire. Based on their feedback, nine national reports were compiled. Overall, the evaluators responded positively to the toolkit’s structure and relevance. One recurring suggestion was to include a short overview of the national context regarding gender-sensitive career guidance in each country. This addition is now in preparation and will be finalized by September 2025, after which the toolkit will be translated into all partner languages.

Alongside this, the project team is currently focused on the pilot phase of the online course Gender Sensitivity in Career Guidance, which runs until 19 September 2025. The course is available in eight languages and offers five modules covering key aspects of gender-sensitive career guidance. We invite career counsellors, educators, HR professionals and others working in the field to test the course and complete a short evaluation survey. Your feedback will help us ensure the course is practical, inclusive and relevant to real-world needs.

In addition, we have recently published the 4th GUIDE newsletter on the project website, now available in all partner languages. The newsletter provides a concise overview of current activities, including the toolkit development, pilot testing of the online course, and upcoming events. We invite you to take a look and share it with colleagues who might be interested in gender-sensitive career guidance.

This summer, our efforts are concentrated on finalizing these two core resources—the Toolkit and the online course—both of which will support more equitable career guidance across Europe.
