trajet\u00f3rias de carreira. As normas sociais e os estere\u00f3tipos profissionais ditam frequentemente quais os pap\u00e9is que os indiv\u00edduos s\u00e3o esperados \u2014 ou desencorajados \u2014 a exercer. Por exemplo, os indiv\u00edduos podem ser subtilmente afastados de cargos de lideran\u00e7a, enquanto outros podem enfrentar press\u00e3o para se conformarem com comportamentos assertivos e competitivos (Eagly &amp; Karau, 2002). Estas expectativas est\u00e3o profundamente enraizadas tanto nas narrativas culturais como nas pr\u00e1ticas organizacionais, influenciando as decis\u00f5es desde a educa\u00e7\u00e3o inicial at\u00e9 aos processos de contrata\u00e7\u00e3o e promo\u00e7\u00e3o (ver sec\u00e7\u00e3o 1).<\/p>\n<p>No cerne desta din\u00e2mica est\u00e1 o fen\u00f3meno do enviesamento inconsciente. Os enviesamentos inconscientes s\u00e3o associa\u00e7\u00f5es autom\u00e1ticas e profundamente enraizadas que podem afetar os nossos julgamentos sem que nos apercebamos (Greenwald &amp; Banaji, 1995). Em ambientes profissionais, tais enviesamentos podem manifestar-se de formas subtis \u2014 como favorecer candidatos que se enquadrem num molde preconcebido de lideran\u00e7a ou utilizar inadvertidamente uma linguagem que reforce pap\u00e9is de g\u00e9nero limitativos. Como conselheiros de carreira, compreender estes enviesamentos \u00e9 fundamental. Estes enviesamentos n\u00e3o s\u00f3 t\u00eam impacto na autoperce\u00e7\u00e3o e confian\u00e7a dos indiv\u00edduos, como tamb\u00e9m t\u00eam efeitos sist\u00e9micos na progress\u00e3o na carreira, na diversidade no local de trabalho e na cultura organizacional (Moss-Racusin e outros, 2012).<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, as expectativas externas levam frequentemente ao desenvolvimento de cren\u00e7as limitadoras. Os indiv\u00edduos podem interiorizar mensagens negativas sobre o seu potencial com base no seu g\u00e9nero, o que influencia as suas decis\u00f5es de carreira e intera\u00e7\u00f5es no local de trabalho. Por exemplo, um jovem profissional pode hesitar em assumir um cargo de gest\u00e3o devido a mensagens sociais de que a lideran\u00e7a \u00e9 mais &#8220;apropriada&#8221; para um g\u00e9nero do que para outro (Eagly &amp; Karau, 2002).<\/p>\n<p>A nossa discuss\u00e3o aqui baseia-se em sec\u00e7\u00f5es anteriores que exploram a orienta\u00e7\u00e3o profissional com uma perspetiva de g\u00e9nero. Ao ligar a teoria \u00e0 pr\u00e1tica, pretendemos fornecer insights sobre como estas press\u00f5es externas podem ser reconhecidas e combatidas. Uma dessas abordagens \u00e9 o recrutamento \u00e0s cegas, que envolve a remo\u00e7\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00f5es de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o, como nomes, indicadores de g\u00e9nero e fotografias, das candidaturas. Esta pr\u00e1tica garante que as decis\u00f5es de contrata\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o baseadas nas compet\u00eancias e qualifica\u00e7\u00f5es dos candidatos, em vez de serem influenciadas por enviesamentos inconscientes (Rivera, 2012). Al\u00e9m disso, as entrevistas estruturadas, que padronizam as quest\u00f5es e os crit\u00e9rios de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o, ajudam a minimizar os enviesamentos subjetivos que poderiam afetar os resultados da contrata\u00e7\u00e3o.
